Our early spy photos and other leaked information hint to us that the new Zipp 405′s will be truly revolutionary – Continuing to push the “speed” envelope. Zipp is continuing with their very successful speed dimples and have now, after years of perfecting the technology, have added speed freckles. We are not sure what the freckles do but we are sure they will make you faster. Zipp has also forgone the conventional tire, now incorporating a carbon fiber tire directly within the carbon rim. It’s a one piece system! The Zipp 405′s are expected to retail for around $50,000 Monopoly dollars and Local Cyclist has already put himself on the waiting list at his local bike shop even though they have no idea what the hell he is talking about.
